- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I am always pleased with my experiences at AAA. Of course, it's great when you need a tow or other roadside emergency. Most of the time I use it to get tour books and maps, which I have always found very useful. We don't always plan ahead and like to drive around and pick a place to stay pretty much at the last minute. We always carry the tour book to help us find something. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Horrible system they have instituted. You now must be a member to be waited on promptly. They have two lines - one for members and one for non-members. After waiting 35 minutes in line several members came in and promptly were waited on before the rest of us. You are basically held captive, you can wait hours and hours - if a member comes in right before your turn you wait again. I left. If you're not a AAA member don't bother. It's not enough that they charge us extra for the service - we must now be treated as second class citizens - unless of course you decide to join - then you're moved up in line.
